I will not lie and claim that running comes naturally to me :). You can tell by all the swearing that goes on as I am huffing and puffing on the treadmill or the trail. I am running neither for the fun of it, nor for exercise purposes, but for challenging myself. And having a goal helps.
December 2, 2017: Ran the half-marathon at Run Barbados 2017!
December 3, 2016: I just ran my first 10K at the Run Barbados 2016 event! At 1:12:53′, my time was slow, but for this race I had only 2 ambitions: a) be able to finish and b) not be the last one. And indeed I finished and there were even 70 people after me! I started running as a personal challenge and in order to fund raise for the Johns Hopkins Brady Urological Institute (you can read more details here).
December 5, 2015: Finished 5K at the Run Barbados 2015 event. At 38:17′, the time was rather dismal, but considering the fact that I just participated without any training it’s not bad at all 🙂
